Retomando las páginas de scrap, comparto un diseño en blanco y negro.
París es una fuente de inspiración constante. En este caso, la protagonista es una foto tomada desde uno de los relojes del Museo d'Orsay, junto al Sena. Uno de mis lugares favoritos de la ciudad.
La imagen determinó cómo hacer la composición.
Taking up the pages of scrap, I share a blank and white design.
Paris is a source of constant inspiration. In this case, the protagonist is a photo taken from one of the clocks of the Museum d'Orsay, beside Seine. One of my favorite places of the city.The image determined how to make the composition. 

Una franja vertical central, utilizando los papeles de la colección "Capture Life - B&W" de Echo Park Paper, junto con el resto de motivos y etiquetas, enmarcan la foto. Salpiqué con acuarela negra y gris el fondo, para que no quedara tan 'limpio'.
A central vertical strip, using the papers of the collection "Capture Life - B&W" by Echo Park Paper, with the rest of elements and labels, frame the photo. I splashed the background with black and gray watercolor, so that it did not remain so 'clean'.

Para finalizar, utilicé el abecedario de American Crafts para rotular la página con el nombre del museo, añadiendo algunas palabras escritas con trazo rápido, para que la composición fuera más dinámica.

To finish, I used the alphabet of American Crafts to label the page with the name of the museum, adding some words written with fast lines, so that the composition is more dynamic.

Y es que París siempre es una buena idea...

Album "Rendez-vous à Paris"

¿Es posible condensar la esencia de una ciudad en un álbum de fotos? La respuesta es que no, no es posible. Es imposible trasladar todo lo que una cámara no puede recoger: aromas, luces y sombras, matices, texturas....
Is it possible to condense the essence of a city in a photograph album? The answer is no, is not possible. It is impossible to transfer all what a camera cannot capture: aromas, lights and shadows, details, textures....

Quizás por eso ha costado tanto condensar la esencia de París entre las páginas de un álbum. En un intento de hacerlo, hoy os muestro el resultado.
Perhaps because of that it has been difficult  to condense the essence of Paris between the pages of an album. In an attempt to make it, I today show you the result.

Las imágenes están impresas en blanco y negro, en formato cuadrado. Con ello quería hacer uniforme las fotos de diversos viajes, para ceder el protagonismo a los edificios, rincones y calles que más me gustan de esta ciudad.
Photographs are printed in black and white, in square format. With that, I wanted to do more uniform the photos of different trips, to yield the protagonism to the buildings, places and streets that I like from this city.

Los papeles siguen la misma gama cromática: grises, blancos y negros con diversos estampados y texturas. El hilo conductor, además de la temática, son los detalles en dorado que van de página en página (washi-tapes, sellos, embossing, pintura...)
The papers follow the same chromatic range: greys, whites and blacks with different prints and textures. The conducting theme, besides the subject, are the details in golden that go of page on page (washi-tape, stamps, embossing, painting...)

Las técnicas también son diversas. He querido experimentar y arriesgar más que en otras ocasiones. La clave está en usar menos las tijeras y menos los pinceles, rasgar más el papel, utilizar diversas herramientas para pintar, mezclar... Y dejarse llevar, pensando que el aprendizaje está en el propio proceso.
Techniques are also different. I wanted to experience and to risk more than on other occasions. The key is in using less  the scissors and the paintbrushes, tearing more the paper, to use different tools to paint, to mix... And thinking that the learning is in the process itself.

Mini Álbum de Otoño | Autumn's mini-album

Hoy os presentamos el último trabajo de Lola, creadora de La sonrisa Creativa.

Es un álbum inspirado en el otoño, sus colores, texturas y detalles. 

Today we present you the last work of Lola, creator of La Sonrisa Creativa (Creative Smile).

It's an album inspired by the fall, its colors, textures and details.

Utilizando una base de madera, sencilla de manipular, y un par de anillas de encuadernación; este álbum tiene páginas de diferente tamaño, cintas de tela, un pequeño tronco, hojas y un gran lazo para rematar el trabajo.

Using a wooden base, easy of manipulating, and a couple of binding rings; this album has pages of different size, ribbons, tapes of fabric, a small branch, leaves and a big ribbon to finish  the work.

2º Aniversario Bambola | 2n Anniversary Bambola

Este fin de semana la tienda de Scrap Bambola Casa Creativa - Valencia celebró su segundo aniversario por todo lo alto. Por este motivo, Carolyn Peeler visitó la ciudad, donde estuvo enseñando, a través de varios talleres, algunos de sus técnicas y secretos para hacer tarjetas y álbumes.
Para decorar el catering, y como una idea rápida para decorar cualquier fiesta, utilicé washi-tape y palillos para hacer unas pequeñas banderolas.
Como véis el proceso es muy sencillo y se pueden conseguir detalles que alegran cualquier mesa.
This weekend the store of Scrap Bambola Casa Creativa - Valencia celebrated its second anniversary. For this reason, Carolyn Peeler visited the city, where she was teaching, across several workshops, some of her techniques and secrets to make cards and albums.
To decorate the catering, and as a fast idea to decorate any party, I used washi-tape  and toothpicks to make some small fanions.
As you see the process is very simple and details that cheer any table up can be obtained.

Razones para sonreír | Reasons to smile

El (mini)álbum que os traigo hoy es también muy especial. Se trata de una recopilación de diez imágenes con las que sorprender a mi hermana Lola, que hoy día 3 está de aniversario. ¡Felicidades!
The (mini)álbum to which I show you today is also very special. It is a compilation of ten images with which to surprise my sister Lola, which today, the 3rd of September, is her anniversary. Happy birthday!

Es un álbum pequeño, compacto y sencillo de hacer. Partí de unas páginas de papel blanco, de buen gramaje (200g/m2) que formaron la estructura de la base.
It's a small, compact and simple album of doing. I set off from some pages of white paper, of good paper weight (200g/m2) that formed the structure of the base.

El patrón es el mismo: en las páginas de la derecha pegaba las fotos y en la izquierda escribí algunas citas o frases que recordaran cuáles son las razones por las que me gusta ver sonreír a mi hermana. Para ello utilicé la colección "Hipster" de BasicGrey (una colección que adoro y de la que pronto os enseñaré el álbum que recibí por mi pasado cumpleaños)
The pattern is it: on the pages of the right, I stucked the photos and, on the left, I wrote some quotes or sentences that remembered which are the reasons for which I like to see to smile at my sister. For that I used the collection "Hipster" of BasicGrey (a collection that I adore and of which soon I will show you the album that I received for my last birthday)

Para realizar la portada/cierre, unos papeles con anillas y una gran lazada fueron suficientes. El toque informal lo aporta la combinación de diferentes tipos de letra y materiales, para configurar el título del álbum.
In order to carry out the cover/closing, some papers with rings and a big ribbon they were sufficient. The combination of different fonts and materials, to configure the title of the album, provides the informal touch.

Un álbum cargado de recuerdos | An album full of memories

Se termina el verano y empieza Septiembre. Se terminan los días largos, los paseos por el campo y las siestas. Para ir recobrando el ritmo habitual, os traigo uno de los último trabajos que he hecho.
Se trata de un álbum que recoge una boda y sus correspondientes celebraciones. Fue un álbum muy especial, puesto que la novia es una persona importante para mi. Además, tuve el honor de ser el padrino, por lo que no había excusa para asistir.
The summer ends and starts September. The long days, the walks through the field and the naps end. In order to keep recovering the usual rhythm, I bring you one of the last works that I have made.
They are an album that comprises a wedding and its corresponding celebrations. It was a very special album, because the girlfriend is an important person for my. Besides, I had the honor of being the godfather, therefore there was not excuse to attend.  

El álbum tiene dos partes diferenciadas: la correspondiente a la boda en Francia y otra correspondiente a una celebración posterior cerca de Barcelona. Para distinguirlo utilicé dos colecciones de papeles muy difertentes.
The album has two differentiated parts: the one corresponding to the wedding in France and another one corresponding to a subsequent celebration near Barcelona. In order to distinguish it I used two collections of very different papers.  

Para la parte francesa, utilicé la colección colección cápsula "Parisienne blue" de DoCrafts , de estilo romántico y muy apropiada para los colores de base que quería para las páginas.
El estilo del álbum es sencillo, sin excesos, en el que quise que destacaran las imágenes por encima de todo. Unos sencillos rótulos escritos a mano resaltan conceptos o pequeñas frases que rememoran aquellos momentos.  
For the French part, I used the collection "Parisienne blue" of DoCrafts, of romantic style and very appropriate for the colors of base that wanted for the pages. 
The style of the album is simple, without excesses, in that I wanted for the images to highlight above all. Some simple signs written by hand highlight concepts or 
small sentences that they reminisce about those moments.

Para la celebración en Barcelona, más distendida y ya en verano, utilicé una colección de papeles con colores muy vivos, como la decoración que se utilizó para la casa en que tuvo lugar la fiesta. En ella destacaban los elementos al aire libre, por lo que la gama de colores es mucho más viva y enérgica.
For the celebration in Barcelona, more relaxed and already in summer, I used a collection of papers with very bright colors, as the decoration that was used for the house in which the party took place. In it highlighted the open-air elements, therefore the color wedge is much more alive and more vigorous.

El punto de partida es un archivador en kraft de la marca Swartz.  Es un archivador básico pero robusto, ya que el volumen final del álbum hacía necesaria una buena base. Utilicé este archivador porque permite mayor libertad para que la persona que recibe el regalo lo pueda ampliar y añadir imágenes posteriormente.
The preliminary point is a file in kraft of the brand Swartz. It is a basic but robust file, since the final volume of the album made a good base necessary. I used this file because it allows bigger freedom so that the person who receives the gift can extend it and images be added later.

Las fotografias fueron seleccionadas para resaltar momentos importantes de la ceremonia, los preparativos o las fiestas posteriores.
The photographs were selected to highlight important moments of the ceremony, the preliminaries or the subsequent parties.

...y así conocí el Scrapbooking | ...and so I met Scrapbooking

Creo que practicaba el Scrapbooking antes de saber que existía el scrap. Cuando viajaba recogía tickets, entradas, mapas, folletos publicitarios o fotografías de sitios en los que había estado o viajes que había hecho. Luego los guardaba y, en ocasiones, no recordaba que lo tenía hasta mucho tiempo después.
Todo cambio a raíz de conocer esto del scrapbooking, o scrap. Se trata de dar forma a los recuerdos. Darles forma de álbum, de libro, de cuaderno... Simplemente organizarlo para que se conserven con todo su esplendor, para que sea un placer recordarlos de nuevo.
El punto de partida para ello es una página de papel, una foto, un título y un pequeño texto descriptivo, que evoque el tema que inspira la foto. Empezando con estos cuatro elementos, el resto es dejar que la imaginación vuele.
Esta página que os muestro está basada en una foto que tomé hace dos veranos; cuando mi hermana y yo nos ponemos a crear y bueno, cualquier soporte es bueno para plasmar algo ¡incluso los pies! Y es que, por encima de todo, hay que crear.

I think I already practiced Scrapbooking know that existed before the scrap . When I travelled, I collected tickets , flyers, maps, brochures or photographs of places I had been or trips I had made . Then kept them and sometimes I had not remembered that until much later .All this change as a result of knowing this scrapbooking or scrap . This hobby is working with the memories. Create an album, a book, a notebook ... just organize to be preserved in all its glory , to make it a pleasure to remember again.The starting point for this is a page of paper, a picture, a title and a short descriptive text that evokes the theme that inspired the picture. Beginning with these four elements , the rest is let the imagination fly .This page that I show is based on a photo I took two summers ago , when my sister and I get to create us and any support is good to capture something, even feet! And, above all , create.

 Aquí podéis ver con mayor detalle la imagen, el texto que la acompaña y el título o encabezado de la página. Es sencillo, pero hace que una simple fotografía en blanco y negro destaque mucho más.
Here you can see more detail in the image, the accompanying text and title or page header. It's simple, but it makes a black and white photograph stand out more.

 

 

Otra idea que me gusta mucho cuando trabajo es enmarcar una imagen con diferentes tipos de papel, con texturas y colores diferentes, que contrasten con el papel de la base. Para terminar la página, basta con escribir algunas palabras, conceptos se relacionen con el recuerdo de la imagen. En este caso, una cena con amigos dio lugar a esta página:

Another idea that I really like when work is to frame an image with different types of paper with different textures and colors that contrast with the paper base. To complete the page, just type a few words, concepts relate to the memory image. In this case, a dinner with friends resulted in this page:

Lady Desidia

Hoy os traigo el trabajo de Lady Desidia.
Lady Desidia es ilustradora. En su blog podréis disfrutar del maravilloso trabajo que realiza y los múltiples soportes sobre los que se presenta: láminas, bolsos, colgantes, vajillas... Nada escapa a la creatividad de esta artista.
En concreto os hablo de la colección de papeles de Scrap que ha realizado. Está compuesta por ocho papeles ilustrados a doble cara. En ellos encontraréis el estilo inconfundible de Lady Desidia, a través de animales, plantas, bosques imaginarios, teteras o pinceles.

Yo me hice con un ejemplar de cada hoja en Bambola Casa Creativa Valencia, para poder realizar un álbum un tanto especial. Recomiendo que no tardéis en comparlas ¡porque vuelan!
